Classic Crispy Onion Rings

Golden Crunch Onion Delights


2 large onions, sliced into 1/4-inch rings
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup dry breadcrumbs
Oil for frying


In a shallow bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and paprika.
In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
Dip onion rings into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat them with breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375°F (190°C).
Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
